Minutes Meeting UBC-O Feb 28th 2007

1st B-day of Society! Yay!

Present: Bobby, Rob, Lucy, Cam, Alex (for first half), Bud (for second half)

Bobby discussed a CIRO presence at the Well for open Mike night. SRC (Student Radio Club) going to try to be there. If recorded could provide content for station.

Alex is linking up with Phoniex to provide news content.

Shelly discussed her role with RCA and other preforming arts groups in Kelowna.

2007 Business Plan: From ZERO to CIRO
DISCUSSED then PASSED
This will be a document to provide CIRO with direction and explain plan to outside groups

Lucy is getting signatures for referendum. Probably not enough for this semester but looking possible for Fall session. Bobby noted the money may not be collected until up to following Fall semester.

Discussed who pays what between SRC and CIRO.

CIRO takes over paying for NCRA membership.
SRC continues to pay Kagemedia account for site.
Discussed and Passed

Fundraising for CIRO and RSU discussed.

CIRO takes fundraising from outside campus and SRC takes all money from campus fundraising. CIRO may donate funds to SRC but SRC will not move funds to CIRO. Passed

Eric is looking to host an all ages show in Vernon. Trying for the Hub. Everyone willing to help out.

Bud still working on possible partnership with University on fundraising. Cam will approah Univeristy of Winnipeg to see about their arrangement. Bud very positve about Community Service Learning Exchange which will allow students to participate in outside organiziations for credit.

Vince is going to try out Audacity for show editing.
